It's a Home Run!
OCES Baseball Team

We're all heroes!

Read on about the Ottawa Carleton e-School Baseball victory, and about your own super heroics!

Safe At First
This year we found the Ottawa Carleton e-School Baseball team defending its title in the annual teachers 3-pitch tournament at the Ottawa RA centre. Last year the teacher's team played in the tournament for the first time and won the day's events, walking away with the first place trophy!

This year, all eyes were on our team as we returned to defend our title. We made it to the semi-finals and proceeded undefeated through to the finals. The last game saw the OCES defending champions win by only 2 runs in a very close game! And once again, OCES reigns supreme and has brought home the trophy!!

Holy SuperPowers!

Now that we are all feeling like super heros after that game, we got to talking about super powers. You know, what it would be like to be able to run at the speed of sound, to lift city buses over your head, or to be able to handle a shovel with incredible skill.

So, if you were a super hero, what would your power be? We've got a poll on the Ottawa Carleton e-School website where you can vote on the power that most suits you. So come on over and throw in your vote, unless you really think "the Trigonometrist" is the coolest superhero in the land.

What super-power would you have?
Mr / Mrs Strong: The ability to lift 10 tons over your head Vote!
The JetSter: Able to fly faster than a speeding bullet Vote!
The Bulletproof Wonder: Bulletproof (or at least bullet resistant) Vote!
The Invisible Hero: Able to turn invisible when you need to sneak around or get away Vote!
The Mole: Can dig through earth and stone at an incredible rate Vote!
The Trigonometrist: Can solve any problem through the power of math Vote!
Atlantean: Swim like a torpedo and talk to the dolphins Vote!
Shrinkinator: Able to shrink to very small or even microscopic size Vote!
Gadgeteer: A huge collection of cool toys to pretend you have super powers Vote!
