Putting a Course on Hold

We understand that students often need to take time off from their course(s) to deal with other matters. To assist students in such a situation, we offer the option to put a course on hold. This allows students to take time away from their studies, without losing any allotted time in their course. There is no academic penalty for putting a course on hold.

eSchool courses must be completed within one year (12 months) of initial registration. This requirement remains unaltered when a course is put on hold. If a student puts a course on hold, it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they re-activate the course at such a time as to allow them to complete all course requirements, including the final exam, before their course reaches the one year mark. If the student fails to do this, the student will lose the course. In order to complete the course, the student will have to register for it again, and submit all the work for the course.

Upon re-activation students will be allotted the amount of time that had been remaining in their course at the time they requested to put the course on hold. There is a $50 administration fee to re-activate a course.
